The F1 1000 coins celebrate the 1000th Grand Prix in F1 history, held in Shanghai April 12 to 14, 2019, where the first examples were unveiled by F1 CEO Chase Carey.

The coin design features the dramatic F1 1000 logo, the skyline of Shanghai, and the names of scores of locations that have hosted the FIA Formula One Championship (TM) since its inception in 1950.

The obverse side of the coin features Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II together with the legal tender value of the coin.

The sealed protective packaging also reflects the Shanghai location of the 1000th race, and incorporates a Certificate Number, a statement of metal fineness and weight, a proof quality statement, and the signature of the assayer who certifies PAMP’s work.

Only 2000 of these 999.0 fine silver coins will ever be made.
