Rosland Capital Releases Latest Design in Exclusive British Museum Series
The fourth design in the popular range of coins showing treasures from the British Museum's collection features a frontal view of a Corinthian helmet dating back to around 460 BC. The helmet bears an inscription stating that the Argives, inhabitants of Argos, dedicated it to Zeus as spoil won in battle from the Corinthians. This particular helmet was first featured in Rosland's British Museum Masterpiece Collection in a side view, but now we see the helmet as the Argives would first have seen it - head on.
