Few people have ever seen a 5 kilo 999.9 fine gold coin, and far fewer will ever touch or own one.

One single 5 kilo coin has been minted as part of the 2016 F1 Coin Collection, and no more will ever be made.

The coin celebrates the ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX™ and features the official F1® logo, the name of the event in English and in Arabic, a beautifully-crafted Formula 1® 2016 car, and an evocation of the circuit itself. On the obverse side of the coin is Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, together with the $5000 denomination of the coin.

The coin is presented in a specially made acrylic block, protected by a carbon fibre case, and comes with a certificate number: 1/1.

The FORMULA 1® ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX™ is a relative newcomer to the FIA Formula One World Championship season, with the first race being held in 2009. The Abu Dhabi race is the only day-night, twilight race in the Formula One calendar.
